Premiere Lodge
£49.95 per room per night. En suite bathroom, TV, telephone, and tea-and-coffee making facilities. Has the advantage of being in the centre of town and easy walking distance to the Town Hall and Pavilion Theatre.
• 144 North Street, Brighton BN1 1DN. Tel: 44 (0) 1273 746833
The Arlanda Hotel Rates start from £58 per room per night. En suite shower, TV, telephone, and tea-and-coffee making facilities. Includes a big English breakfast. We know this hotel as this is where Malcolm's department puts visiting professors. It looks very nice and cosy, but it would be a rather long walk to the centre of town (short cab ride though).

The Brighton Thistle 5-star luxury, right by the sea and next to the Town Hall. Rooms start from £140 per night per room, minimum two nights stay required.
